Facebook Reels

  • Aspect Ratio: Vertical (9:16 recommended)
  • File Size: Up to 1GB
  • Supported Formats: MP4, MOV

Facebook Stories

  • Duration: Up to 60 seconds (Stories disappear after 24 hours)
  • Aspect Ratio: Vertical (9:16 recommended)
  • File Size: Up to 1GB
  • Supported Formats: MP4, MOV

Connecting Facebook

Facebook requires you to connect a Facebook Page. During the OAuth authorization, you'll be asked to select which Pages ShortSync can access.

Step 1: Select All Your Pages

When connecting Facebook, you'll see a page selection screen during the authorization process. It's important to select all pages you want to use across all your workspaces — Facebook resets page access on every reconnect, so any page you don't select will lose access.

Step 2: Choose a Page for Your Workspace

After authorization, you'll choose which page to use in your current workspace. Each workspace can use a different page from the same Facebook account.

Multiple Workspaces

If you use Facebook across multiple workspaces, you only need to authorize once. After connecting in one workspace, other workspaces will let you pick a page directly without going through the Facebook authorization again.

Reconnecting

When you reconnect Facebook, make sure to select all your pages again. Pages you don't re-select will lose access, which may affect other workspaces using those pages.

Common Issues

Can't select Facebook Page

Make sure you have admin access to the Facebook Page you want to post to. During authorization, ensure you grant ShortSync permission to manage your Pages and Stories.

Story or Reel not posting correctly

Stories must be 60 seconds or less and disappear after 24 hours. Reels can be up to 90 seconds and are permanent posts. Ensure your video meets the requirements for your selected post type.
