Caption
Write a caption for your Threads post (up to 500 characters). Include hashtags and @mentions directly in the caption text.
Hashtags (Topic Tags)
Threads handles hashtags differently from other platforms. The first hashtag in your caption becomes a topic tag — it appears next to your username in the post header and makes your post discoverable under that topic. Only one topic tag is allowed per post.
Any additional hashtags will appear as plain text in the caption — Threads does not support multiple clickable hashtags like Instagram.
Mentions
Use @mentions to tag other Threads users directly in your caption.
Common Issues
Threads token expired
Threads access tokens expire periodically. If your posts fail to publish, try reconnecting your Threads account from the platform connections page in your dashboard.
Threads account requirements
To use Threads with ShortSync, you need an active Threads account either linked to your Instagram account or as a standalone account. Make sure your Threads profile is set up and active before connecting.
