How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your channel link

On the Upload page, open Repurpose and create a workflow. Under Post from, pick YouTube or podcast and paste your channel link (youtube.com/@name) or a playlist link. ShortSync shows the channel's latest videos so you know it found the right one. No YouTube sign-in needed: it reads the channel's public feed.

  2. 2

Pick the accounts to post to

Choose the accounts that should announce each video, and whether posts go out right away or wait as drafts for you to check.

  3. 3

    Upload to YouTube as usual

About 15 minutes after a new video shows up in the channel's feed, ShortSync posts it to those accounts. Videos published before you created the workflow aren't posted.

What each post looks like

The thumbnail as the image

ShortSync takes the highest resolution thumbnail YouTube has for the video and posts it as an image post.

Title and link as the caption

The video title is the first line and the watch link follows, so followers can tap through where the platform allows links.

Publish or review first

Posts can go out right away, or wait in your library as drafts so you can add a line or a hashtag per platform before they're published.

Your back catalog on a schedule

An old posts workflow shares videos the channel already has, a few a day in the time slots you pick. YouTube's feed lists a channel's latest 15 videos, so that's how far back it goes.

Frequently asked questions

Connect the Discord channel in ShortSync (Add to Discord, or paste a channel webhook), then create a workflow with your YouTube channel under Post from and that Discord channel under Post to. Every new video then appears in the channel with its thumbnail, title and link. No bot to host, and the same workflow can post to Facebook, LinkedIn and your other accounts at once.
Yes. Connect the Facebook Page and your LinkedIn profile or company page, pick them under Post to, and each new video is posted there with its title and link.
No. ShortSync never downloads videos from YouTube. Each post is the video's thumbnail with its title and link, which sends people to watch it on YouTube. To post the same video natively to TikTok, Reels and Shorts, upload the file to ShortSync and schedule it to every platform at once.
Any connected account that takes image posts: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Telegram, Mastodon, Discord, Tumblr, Pixelfed, Google Business Profile and others. Accounts that can't post an image, such as YouTube, are skipped.
Where the platform makes links in posts clickable, yes: X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord and Mastodon, for example. Instagram doesn't link captions, so there the title does the work.
No. Paste the normal channel link (youtube.com/@name) or a playlist link and ShortSync finds the channel's RSS feed itself. ShortSync reads that public feed, so you don't sign in to YouTube, and any public channel works, including one you manage for a client.
ShortSync checks the feed every 15 minutes or so. YouTube's feed can itself take a few minutes to list a new upload, so expect a post within about half an hour.
Choose Save drafts when you set up the workflow. Each video then waits in your library, where you can edit the caption per platform and publish or schedule it.
