Auto post YouTube videos to your Facebook Page
Keep your Facebook Page as active as your channel. Each time you upload, ShortSync posts the video's thumbnail with its title and link to your Page, published straight away or saved as a draft for you to add a line first.

How to set it up
- 1
Connect Facebook
Connect your Facebook Page in ShortSync with Facebook's own sign-in and pick the Page. Facebook only lets apps post to Pages, not personal profiles.
- 2
Paste your YouTube channel
On ShortSync's Upload page, open Repurpose and create a workflow. Under Post from, pick YouTube or podcast and paste your channel link (youtube.com/@name) or a playlist link. ShortSync shows the latest videos so you can check it found the right channel. No YouTube sign-in needed.
- 3
Pick Facebook and how to post
Under Post to, select your Facebook account (and any others you want). Choose Publish right away, or Save drafts to check each post first.
- 4
Let it run
About 15 minutes after a new video shows up in the channel's feed, ShortSync posts it to Facebook. Videos from before you created the workflow aren't posted as new.
What the post looks like on Facebook
- A photo post on your Page with the title and link as its text.
- The link in the text is clickable for anyone who sees the post.
Other ways to do it
All of these work. ShortSync suits you if you'd rather not build or host anything, or want the same post on several platforms.
Share it by hand
YouTube's Share button opens Facebook with the link ready. Fine for the odd video, easy to forget when you upload every week.
Zapier, Make, Pabbly or IFTTT
Each has a template that watches a feed and posts to the platform. Flexible if you already pay for one, but you build and maintain the workflow and its message yourself, and each extra platform is another step.
Good to know
- ShortSync never downloads YouTube videos: each post links to the video on YouTube.
- YouTube's feed lists a channel's latest 15 videos, so an old posts workflow can share up to those 15.
- Any public channel or playlist works, including one you run for a client.
- Posts go to Facebook Pages; Facebook's API doesn't allow posting to personal profiles or groups you don't manage as a Page.
